I guess X is a popular subtitle for any franchise...

Takara Tomy describes the project as the "4th generation," after the original 1999 Beyblade (Bakuten Shoot Beyblade)

Rafael... The link you posted leads to the 2001 anime. Not the 1999 source manga. You literally typed 1999 and intentionally linked an anime that started in 2001. Make that make sense. Time and time again, the ANN staff link the popular series instead of the source manga or actual first anime series. For example, Yu-Gi-Oh!. You guys link the 2000 anime (known as Duel Monsters) when putting the link in "Yu-Gi-Oh!" instead of the original 1998 anime that is literally called that. The disrespect towards source manga and 1st anime series needs to stop. It costs nothing to provide accurate info. It costs everything to lose tegridy.

As someone who has once written something for ANN last year, I'm pretty sure any & all links to ANN Encyclopedia pages are automatically generated based on what's written, because I only included one actual link in my article, but the final posted piece included links to the Encyclopedia for certain titles I mentioned, and when a manga got linked it was because I specifically said "manga" after the title, so the system saw there that the manga should be linked.

So if you have anyone to blame let it be the (seemingly) automated system, which looks to prioritize anime first over manga, and not the people who write the articles. They're certainly not doing it intentionally, and they're busy enough as it is looking through all forms of sources just to find & write up news articles, so that we all know what's going on in the industry, to be bothered to have to look up & make sure they're linking to the right anime or manga referenced, despite it sometimes not really being essential for the link to be there, in the first place.

Also, I imagine there is a also priority towards more likely to be linked shows, like YGO! Duel Monsters over "Season 0", because of course DM would be referenced to more often in news stories; otherwise, "Season 0" would be constantly linked to, despite it being very rare to actually do so.

After I made my original post, I checked back and the manga was appropriately linked. I check just now and its back to what it was before I posted.
