Silver Link also got affected by all this. First Misfit, now Bofuri. Hope, it is the last one for this season.

Official preview for this week's episode had the bad news in the video's comments section before the news article was published.
Not a surprise, although the series has done well so far even after the spotlight on the mainland's infection rates dropped off around Chinese New Year. Because of the delay, it's the same situation as Isekai Ojisan where they'll probably finish the production cycle but won't have an airtime slot to show it off.

Ayakashi Triangle too, considering Silver Link and CONNECT are basically the same studio after the purchase.

It is slowly starting to feel like the peak corona days again with all the delay news.

Maybe at some point the cost of additional air time will get to where production committees are willing to try something other than a schedule that comes down to the wire?

I was kind of expecting this announcement, but it still sucks.

It willl be great if things changed for the better. I hope that Crunchyroll and other overseas companies force the Japanese companies to have all the episodes finished before the shows start airing.

I am not hopeful but higher cost is a good incentive to get it done ahead of time. Or at least 10 out of 12 episodes done when Ep.1 airs.

For everyone getting all up in arms about this delay, keep in mind the following:
1. If the second PV that appeared in December is any indication, they had a good chunk of the first half of the season done around that time.
2. This is only a two-week delay, with episodes airing normally after that. It's nowhere like the other other delays that happened this season.
My best guess is that most of Bofuri Season 2 is completed. However, the recent wave of COVID has caused a decrease in manpower at Silver Link, which in return resulted in delays of their titles, with Bofuri's delay being controllable due to how far they are in terms of completed material (i.e. they only need to delay it for two weeks).
That said, my main concern is when 11 and 12 will air, because as a WN reader, I have a good idea of what episode 10 is going to cover, and it's not going to be pretty if it's not resolved by the end of the episode.

China declared Co-vid cured and opened up, which as they had hardly immunised anyone and strict lockdowns meant it hadnt spread widely among the general population meant China is only now experiencing what for most other countries was the middle of the Co-vid pandemic. As they stopped testing and reporting there officially hasn't been a single Co-vid cases in China for a month
