Not really sure what to expect from this. I like Yuuki Kaji. Reina Ueda's narration was very effective and her character looks cute. The visuals seem pretty good.

So the premise is a basically a demon lord battle royale?

The Kakuyomu release came first by two days, so I think that disqualifies it from my spreadsheet. I haven't put on other stories that were mirrored later like Overlord.

The English release seems to have gone under the radar so far, but they're some of the best novels around, and dense as shit; each could easily be a cour in its own so it's almost a shame the trailer already shows characters from later books.

Supposedly the light novel release expanded the web novel a lot, so I wonder if they're adapting that version instead? Either way I don't see how they'd actually get to the tournament itself in a single cour.

Yes, like the Juuni Taisen.

Yes, for me too it looks similar to them. Also will watch this series. Hope for 20+ episodes.

It seems so, I agree, also think that they make 20+ episodes for this adaptation.

Wow, it looks like they copied the art style from God Eater. I wonder what Ufotable thinks of this.

I doubt it is intended, but the promo poster-thingy reminds me of AoT. How fitting they got Yuuki-san to be the lead in this upcoming anime.
