The "gay route bisexual guy" as you call him has a brief cameo later as a teacher. But that's really it.
This show was quite the experience when it first aired. The first episode isn't actually the last episode. Episode 25 is the last chronologically as it has the remaining characters reflect on events as some kind of reunion show.
Episode 19 was something else, though. It was excellent.

Was that the Yamibou cross-over episode? If so, yes, it was.
I admit that I did keep expecting Tomomi to appear, though perhaps in her Ritsuko guise.

I haven't watched the series since it came out, but it lurked on my RightStuf wish-list until this column finally pushed me over the edge.

I've got a weird soft spot for mid 00s VN adaptations, and the reverse order gimmick makes this a must watch for me honestly.
