I wish we would have gotten a second season of Baccano rather than that snorefest Durarara.

Oh hell yeah! The mask makers arc is my favorite baccano story. I really hope this means we get more adaptions. I would love to see 2001s story in particular. Maybe we could even finally get a new anime? I can dream.

Was there more to show? I felt that all the threads got nicely wrapped up.

There's literally 22 novels in Baccano, and they only covered, like, three.

My heart soared at reading "Baccano Novels get-", but I guess more Baccano anime is still a dream. Maybe it's for the best though, I loved DRRR season 1 but thought the sequels were just awful, wouldn't want Baccano to have the same fate.

I'm not sure how many novels were covered in the anime, but there's a whopping 22 novels in the series according to Wiki.

I see. Maybe I'll have to check out the novels at some point. I lived there anime, but didn't really think any more needed to be seen. Not that i wouldn't have welcomed it, just that it all seemed to tie up nicely unlike most light novel adaptations.

I mean, to each their own. I loved Durarara. The OVAs were pretty boring, but the series itself had me hooked from start to finish.

You can add that it is based on Bacanno's eleventh volume, ''1705 The Ironic Light Orchestra''.

Since the title says 1700s instead of just 1705, I wonder if it'll also adapt 1710 and 1711? The 1700s arc can stand up independently for the most part.

Dude. I would give anything for another Baccano anime. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come!

Would also be nice for the existing Baccano! anime to be readily available for streaming. Once Aniplex USA clawed back the rights from Funimation and put out their expensive and limited Blu-Ray set, the series basically disappeared.

I was going to say the 1700s Baccano arcs are great, but then I remembered they're all great. The more Baccano the better (now if only the author would actually finish the arc that's been on hiatus for years)

Despite how popular the anime was with American fans, it apparently did poorly in Japan in both ratings and DVD sales, so I'd say chances are still pretty slim.

This. SO much this!!! God, how I wish I had bought the DVDs way back when. It’s such a great show, and I have several friends I’d love to introduce the show to. I can’t believe it’s not streaming anywhere, it’s just criminal!
Maybe this announcement/project can generate enough interest for one of the streamers to license it again.
A girl can dream. Sigh
