Do people still Para Para dance? Did they ever change up the tan boyfriend character to be less unintentionally offensive? Has Ran finally embraced the ACAB philosophy in an ultimate attempt to not become a cop? I have way more questions but it's hard to remember the details of an anime from the early 2000s. I also don't know how much of the manga, the original anime covered but hey it was all a pretty good time. I'll check this out, if there is ever an English release.

Why is the character offensive?
The Japanese version of the manga is available physically and digitally on Amazon Japan. I know you prefer to read it in English, but sampling at least some of the Japanese version can give you an idea of what to expect from the sequel. |

I'm 95% certain that the author didn't intend anything malicious when they penned Tatsuki (self described as Machida Black) as a monkey man with several monkey jokes, that just didn't age well. Yes theres way more to Tatsuki as a character and I did enjoy whenever he would show up. Also, I'm American, so I doubt many if any Japanese viewers had problems with the character as a whole. Long story short, I get bad vibes whenever I see dark skinned characters associated with monkeys. |

Apparently the Super Gals! anime covered through volume 9, chapter 35, so it adapted nearly all of the 10-volume manga. |
