It can't be easy to create art based around your own terminal diagnosis. Sounds like she was a very brave person. May she rest in peace.

Gutted to hear this news. I've been following her Twitter account and was worried about all the recent silence. She was such an unbelievably brave person. The way she handled her diagnosis and everything. For those who might be interested in her, please check her manga out. You can even pick it up in english. It's not all depressing, it's also very matter of fact and really funny. She's a real inspiration, a real rare gem, may she rest in peace.

Also there was a small error in the post. In case anyone wanted to look up her work, the title of her manga is "Makkigan demo genki desu" (not "mikkigan")
