I......I don't know what to say about it. Given the current track of video game adapted movies (Sonic The Hedgehog excluded. That and part two slaps), I'm not optimistic about it. But than again they got the guy who made John Wick on this though. But still, not to hopeful about it. Still sore about what they did to the Resident Evil. [expletive] Alice.

As long as they pass along the moral of ONLY TRUST YOUR FISTS POLICE WILL NEVER HELP YOU, it should be fine.

at least there's still a chance, even if it's small,of something good coming out of the John Wick guy to handle a movie of a beat-em-up game, while anything with Paul W.S. Anderson's name attached you know it will be a lost cause(seriously,he hasn't made anything good in decades...),and a SOR movie from him would probably have migraine inducing and unwatchable action sequences(just check Resident Evil The Final Chapter,or rather, don't for your own health,literally...)

Like really, these people from dj2 purchased the rights to adapt the games like - Tomb Raider, Disco Elysium (?), Life is Strange, Little Nightmares, Sable, My Friend Pedro (?!), Sleeping Dogs and It Takes Two. You gotta guess they are some big players because of Sonic movies - but they're absolutely not, and they're just backed by Amazon very recently. And that makes it... a bit suspicious? If anything, that looks like hoarding without real action just for sake of holding 'em while the rights are cheap to get.

Pretty much the same as with the Netflix Sword Art Online adaptation - it's in a can.

….Aren’t the original three main character’s cops?
One of whom is still on the job by the events of 4?

If they don't smash open bins to get cooked roast chickens it won't be a faithful adaptation.

Didn't Aardman dump Lionsgate for Netflix in terms of distribution starting with Shaun the Sheep Farmageddon? I know a lot of their stuff under Lionsgate absolutely flopped in the box office.

Another case of “I’ll believe it when I’m at the theater.” Kolstad is attached to a Hellsing movie that has zero news since being announced last year.
The moral is, if you want your movie to actually come out, base it on an original concept.

You know, except for the countless original movies that get scrapped all the time

True, but the turnaround tends to be quicker and the odds better than licensed films, which get announced but rarely made.

Axel, Blaze, and Adam were all cops, yeah. Their special ability is to call in a cop car to fire missiles into the bad guys. I guess technically they resigned along with a bunch of other police since the rest of the force were bribed by Mr. X but once he's taken down Axel and Blaze rejoined the force as seen in 3. According to 4 Adam joins special forces as well. I guess you could say they're rogue loose canon cops who don't play by the rules in the first game though
