Cool. I liked In/Spectre's first season, flawed as it was. The characters were interesting. Hopefully the plot in the new season is a bit more engaging.

Looking like a lot of intrigue, romance, and Kotoko this season!

I'm having PTSD remembering some of those long wordy explanations used in this show. Hopefully they do a better job of not only explaining concepts better but also more briefly. It has potential, they just kind of dropped the ball for some of it.

From what I keep hearing, the second season should adapt the part of the manga where they switch to doing shorter individual cases instead of one long one, which was pretty much the only issue I had with the first season.

That one long case is the adaptation of the mystery novel that kicked off the whole series. I quite enjoyed reading it, but it doesn't lend itself well to a visual medium (the climax is literally 90 pages of Kotoko sitting in the back of a car writing forum posts on a laptop). The manga adaptation really took over after that, though (at least some of the sequel books are effectively adaptations of the manga rather than the other way around), so this season should please anyone who liked the short cases from the beginning of the first one.

Yeah, it's a good concept, and the character dynamics were good. It just didn't quite hang together right.
Looking forward to them taking another swing at it though.
