The era of the reincarnated Villainess' has truly begun!
Ai Fairouz as a former villainess! She's in good company with Maaya and Rieri! It's kind of funny seeing Maaya Uchida in the male lead (?) role since she kicked this genre off anime-wise with Bakarina. Also was not expecting Haruka Tomatsu, but that's awesome! |

Sweet! I enjoyed the manga and bought the first volume of the light novel when it got translated (and am looking forward to vol 2 when I get around to buying it). Pride is such a badass and I love how its a bit dark at times too.
Also, Tomato? Nice. |

And added to the spreadsheet. Wild to think that when I started it three years ago there were only two dozen titles on it, and now there's more than 80.

Jesus, is Isekai being replaced by more Isekai?

Isekai will probably forever be a notable genre within Japanese media even if a new trend occurs, much like how mecha is less noteworthy than it was than a couple decades ago, but still has a number of titles released even now (many which happen to be isekai themselves, amusingly enough). I actually don't mind, but that's at least partially because one of the first anime I started watching as a serious otaku was Zero no Tsukaima. Even if I can't help but admit that there probably are too many isekai anime, I'm still hopelessly biased towards the genre. |

YEEEEES! Some freaking good news specially after the manga was cancelled. I love RasuTame and is great they are gonna use the excellent manga designs for the anime. Really loved the art. Also the VAs cast is impressive, couldn't have ask for better.
Really with this one and the other 3 the next year we are now living the era of the Villainess genre. And this one is actually one of my favorites so I'm happy. |

This makes me smile. It's on the watchlist.
I've read a few villainess stories (not this one yet), and they've all been really good! To my mind it's a better subgenre than the male harem isekai (and similar non-isekai) we've been getting tons of. |

Well, you need a dragon to kill a dragon. |

Kids show director directing an obvious Otaku anime? Damn, looks like the kodomo yen is drying up and it's not just the big shoujo idol anime having issues.

What the hell are you two talking about? Are you two forgetting about how Mushoku Tensei and Konosuba are both coming back next year? Or how were also going to be getting the Vending Machine Isekai, Handyman Isekai, and the Campfire Cooking Isekai next year? Hell, even right now we currently have The Eminence in Shadow and Reincarnated as a Sword airing. So it's stupid to think that the original form of Isekai is ever going to be replaced by Villainess Isekai. |
