JUST THINK ABOUT IT!
Ryukishi07 writing a Silent Hill game, considering his work on Umineko particularly, in terms of Jungian elements within the storytelling much like Silent Hill 2's collective unconscious eldritch city.
This "Silent Hill f" has enormous potential.

So many talented studios and they go with Bloober team. Their stuff has been pretty medicore and their writing isn't the best,to put it lightly. I'm excited for what No Code is doing since their first two games were great. Don't really care for a the new movie, since Gans showed with the first film, that he didn't get the material. Ignoring that, his movies are pretty lacking when it comes to the themes and character writing (they sure do look nice though).

I'm glad a new generation will experience it but still...you made other games besides Silent Hill 2 you know.

Trailers looked good enough to me.
But then again, I was never someone who considered Silent Hill to be some untouchable perfection.
Glad that another old IP is being officially revived.

Well, it's amazing seeing Konami making higher-budget games again, though technically they aren't developing these games in-house. Hope in the future they can remaster the Metal Gear games, all of them.
It would be great if they can allow some developers to make new Castlevania games, and not just an exploration-action game like Symphony, I'd like to see a new 2D action-platformer and a 3D game. Also, a Goemon collection would be nice.

It's pretty amazing how even in the first second of footage, with James shaking like a drug addict, you can tell they don't understand the material whatsoever. Like that has to be a record for exposure.

Even the CG James looks better than the model they got here (that was 20 years ago and it still looks good!).

The earlier Silent Hill games are so near and dear to my heart, and I hate the fact that friggin Bloober Team is the one remaking 2.
Bloober Team is the same developer who made their own Silent Hill knockoff that wanted the player to sympathize with an abusive pedophile, and overall messaging of the narratives says mentally ill abuse survivors are lost causes and should only die because they are a burden to everyone around them.
I hated The Medium so much.
But that's the company they want to do SH 2? A game that also has one of the best representations of an abuse survivor and handled the subject matter with tact. Unlike Bloober. ffs

The Silent Hill drought finally being over is nice but f is the only one that looks promising to me.

Well when you remember that story of how Konami treated it’s employees this comes off looking on brand.

Except there is monkey's paw - this potential going to be brought in by the people whose previous works are cheap cooperative asset-flips that come up literally for free with modern Resident Evil games - because even Capcom thinks they are not worth anything.

Ryukishi07's name being attached peaked my interest. Not to hopeful about the rest, but f looked like such an interest departure and style that it could be interesting. It reminded me a bit of Siren.
