It looks like they've retained some of the best aspects of 8g and LA so the hype is building, I don't think we can expect any mega/Z moves/daimax with the new mechanics but at least i'd really like to see overworld shiny in a main title this time.

Oof, the art style looks really weird....lots of wrinkles and realistic details, on big headed anime characters with big eyes.

Open world, freedom to challenge any gym at any time, school, new starters, different professors for different games, new variants, new stat boosting/form mechanic, Legendary's you actually ride and are your partners from the get-go...all look really cool!
I wonder if one of the other main storyines is the typical "evil team" plot.
I do feel like Eevee getting different types without evolving kind of misses the point...?

I think it had to do with the anime as Koharu/Chloe 's Eevee is able to use every type it can evolve into, in fact the current "small intermission arc" focuses on that very aspect so maybe they were waiting this timing. Her Eevee was made to mirror the Eevee from Let's Go, Eevee! which cannot evolve and can use special moves matching its evolution types.

The trailer definitely has me hyped. <3 And happier that I decided to pre-order the double pack this time around, instead of only grabbing one game. I have a feeling the whole past/future thing that's being alluded to will change up the story of the game enough to justify getting both (at least based on the rumors that are swirling around about the game's contents, which I'm starting to believe a bit more since the trailer confirmed several things from those leaks).
I have a feeling that these games, like with Sword and Shield, will have some sort of DLC down the line. I actually want to hope that they'll make the DLC have us take a school field trip to Kalos, since the idea is that the two regions should be neighbors to one another based off of their real-life countries, and we get to see how Kalos has rebuilt after the events of X & Y. Might be a lot to place in two regions into the same game, but it'd be super cool to see. And it'd be a nice nod back to Gen 2; I know, among my friends and I, the fact that we got to explore both Johto and Kanto in the same game (albeit with Kanto being slimmed down due to limitations at the time) was such a cool idea, and it's a shame that it hadn't been attempted again in any other Pokemon generation since (excluding the Gen 4 remakes of Gen 2, of course).
