I just hope that no matter how the series turns out,he and any other members of the cast don't receive any harassment like so many other times in the past

I assume it'll depend how they act. If they start insulting the original series and trashing the fans then they no doubt will open themselves up for criticism.

Can't believe I have to say this but criticism =/= harassment,and the crew and cast rarely do sth like that, it's the diehard "fans" that overreact with sending hateful comments or even outright bullying to them like it happened in sw many times(eg christensen,jake loyd, Ahmed best and so on)

I can't believe you have to say this either. But there really are "fans" who believe that harassment and insulting them is "valid criticism."
They're being disingenuous or are in real denial.

It makes sense, since you need young Luffy for flashbacks with Shanks and how he got the Gum-Gum Fruit. I guess the real question is if they'll film stuff with Ace, Sabo, and Garp if they plan that far ahead.

Apparently One Piece, along with The Three Body Problem and the live-action Last Airbender are being bandied about internally by Netflix as their three strongest candidates to replace Stranger Things as THE crowning jewel of the service. The investment makes more sense when you think about it that way, they believe this will be the next mega hit that becomes so ubiquitous it’s a punchline on late nite talk shows.

YYH at least has decent casting. It doesn't deserve to be lumped in with One Piece.
