What odd and kind of bad timing that both authors would be having health issues that would lead to the manga's getting canceled (and then there's Billy Kametz...).
I hope they're getting the time they need to rest and recover. I wonder what's next for 86 manga-wise?

Perhaps I am misunderstanding, but I don't think the author of 86 is sick, I think it is the mangaka's of both manga series that are sick.
With the main series and the spin-off series canceled, there will probably be nothing manga wise happening. Probably forever.

No, Asato Asato whom is the author of the '86' Light Novel series is fine and healthy, so yes just the mangakas and there is a chance still, Seirei gensouki had the same situation and still got it's new Manga adaption.

I was speaking of the mangaka's, specifically.
