"The First Slam Dunk" is an intriguing title. Obviously, it can't be a prequel, since Sakuragi didn't even play basketball before the series started, so for now my guess is that it will be a sequel to the manga, with him playing for the first time since finishing rehab. I was hoping for an adaptation of the manga's final match instead, but anything written and directed by Inoue should be awesome.
