This is clearly the rumoured Trigun remake. It also lines up with the Orange countdown and what they said before.

Trigun as CGI would be interesting but I believe Orange has already stated their new project is related to that new short they released, so unless the short is somehow tied to Trigun, I don't think Orange would be doing it.

Trigun adaptation is an interesting case, anime and manga are both completely different and the same thing.
I think that every person who is going to cram a 300+ chapters equivalent manga into 25 episodes should watch it, a lot of adaptations would benefit of taking liberties with it's source material instead of just rushing stuff.

A brand new Trigun adaptation that covers all the manga would be exceptionally welcomed. I'd love to see elements like Elendira the Crimson Nail, Razlo the Tri-Punisher of Death, the huge plant ships from Earth, and Midvalley the Hornfreak's expanded role in animated form. I only hope they can get some of the staff back from the original TV series, like the voice actors and Tsuneo Imahori.

Also Toho Animation's Youtube page posted the teaser too, and pretty much all Orange's anime these days had Toho involved... so there's a pretty good chance it is Orange. The timing with Orange's announcement and this is perfect

Orange doing Trigun Maximum? That would be a sight to see.

It would be very depressing if the Trigun remake is CG. I sense Berserk 2016 2.0 happening

If this is a Trigun remake.... No Hiromi Tsuru as Meryl. Aya Hisakawa, who voiced Rem in Trigun, took over for Tsuru in Dragon Ball Super and its sequels. So Hisakawa would take over as Meryl. I am assuming of course. The original main cast are available today so I hope they return. I expect some replacements.

If this does indeed mean what I hope it does, I will be unable to contain my joy. I have been hoping for a full manga adaptation since I first read the manga many years ago. I would prefer it not to be CGI but Orange is probably the best at producing shows in that medium. If they are indeed handling it.

I dunno how this will go, but I'm just happy the anime that made me a fan of anime is making a comeback, whatever form it is.
Really, I had never seen back when I watched Trigun anything with such a sharp mood turn... I was hooked immediately.
Tsuneo Imahori banging soundtrack also helped. xD

No? The humans still look and move weird even in their recent stuff. No way it's going to be anywhere near as good looking as the original anime.

Please be Trigun Maximum from Bones. It would make perfect sense since they did Blood Blockade Battlefront.
