They're really rocking that Alvin and the Chipmunks style CGI. Laughing

I appreciate the Who Framed Roger Rabbit type setting for this movie, so hopefully this turns out well Smile

Well... that was 0% what I was expecting. Seems Bojack Horseman version of Rescue Rangers. I was halfway expecting a PG-13 rating at the end.

I wasn't even aware this would have references to anime in the film.

I would have never thought I'd see a Dragon Ball reference in a Chip n' Dale project, and I would have say the same thing about Kingdom Hearts but then I remember that Disney owns it and Chip and Dale play a key role in those games.
Now that I think about it, Disney seldom references Kingdom Hearts outside of the games themselves, but recently KH was referenced in a Mickey Mouse short and in the new Proud Family show. Don't know if Disney needs to ask permission SE/Nomura, but considering they're doing a Twisted Wonderland anime adaptation for Dinsey+, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a KH project in development for the platform as well.

Looks like it could be a winner, definitely liking the self-referential humor and the "villain" referencing Alvin, etc. Razz

Lines up with the streaming wars credo of 'leave no IP untapped'.

Can't be Rescue Rangers without Gadget, Monterey, and Zipper

Maybe at the end? Laughing

Agreed. Not watching if Gadget isn't in it.

I’m pretty sure they announced a kingdom Hearts show sometime last year for Disney+.
