Ranma 1/2 will eventually get remake too.
Most likely Inuyasha as well at some point. ... Not sure about Maison Ikkoku. |

As expected, the all star cast is coming. I am gonna place my bets on Umehara seeing he is in so many shows these days.

I was wondering if they were gonna stick with Koyasu but Miyano sounds great. Wonder if Kousuke will be in this show.

If they're going back to the Showa Era, are they gonna include some future prediction humor as well?
Something akin to: "Now get out of my Van Halen shirt before you jinx the band and they break up." What can I say? I'm a sucker for these types of puns. |

It's going to be quite interesting to hear how the new cast compares to the original cast. The new cast does sound quite good in the promo, but it will still tale some time to get used to them after listening to the original cast these past 35 years since I first saw UY. I'd love to see some of the original cast making an appearance as some of the minor characters. I'd love to see Lum and Ataru's original voice actors playing Ataru's parents!

Some of the individual plots wouldn't work in the smartphone era, but I think the characterization would translate pretty well. ("Daaarliiing, that's the FIFTH girl I've seen you ask for her name and LINE handle, TODAY, while WALKING TO SCHOOL!") …I wonder what kind of mayhem could ensue from Lum whipping up a Twitter bot. Or hacking the server for an Apex Legends knockoff. (Possibly one published by the Mendo Conglomerate.) Or what excuse Ataru might come up with for needing another hard drive after he's filled his up with porn. |
