Dat Sonic 2 poster.

So Robotnik gets to actually channel Chaos Energy and become a God(like).

Totally in-character for Knuckles to take pride in being an Echidna warrior. This really feels like an early Knuckles before he mellowed out.

Longclaw was more plot relevant than I expected.

Focusing so much on Sonic versus Knuckles that they're saving up a lot of footage from the final battle with the Death Egg Robot. Probably so they don't spoil Knuckles teaming up with Sonic and Tails and (maybe) Super Sonic.

I'm glad the first film did well enough for this to be green lit, as this feels like it's a lot closer to what fans would expect from a Sonic movie.

Don't get me wrong, I like the first one, but this seems like it's just a straight up adaptation of Sonic 2 and 3 on the big screen, with some Sonic Adventure nods on the side. And I think that's pretty exciting.
