D'oh. And here I was following the manga so I could experience the story beyond what the anime adapted

It's definitely a bit of a bummer that it didn't go much further than the original anime but I would say that it really fleshed out the story. The main character in the anime has a pretty happy-go-lucky vibe where is in the manga he has a much angrier side to him. Come to think of it, the rest of the characters get to have their interiority examined a lot more as well. All told, I really enjoyed the world and the adventure and even though it's ending a little bit earlier than I was hoping, I still had a really great time.
If you haven't yet I strongly recommend catching up on all of it over at the Crunchyroll Manga app they have the whole thing for subscribers. It's actually what made me pick up the manga tier in the first place. |

For those unfortunately you have to read the novels, from Vols 6-11 onwards... Interestingly, it seems the Japanese will be releasing the Bluray box for the entire Knights & Magic anime this coming Jan 26th. https://www.animatetimes.com/news/details.php?id=1632722354 Not sure if this will translate into anything anime-related for the future... |

Here I was hoping the Super Robot Wars appearance would bump its popularity up a bit.
