I actually had a good time watching this show. It’s flawed af, but it has a ton of heart and likable characters. I think the dub had excellent casting and voice direction, but I agree that dubbing over CG was likely a challenge. I’d say a solid 7/10 for super sentai fans and like a 6/10 for everyone else.
Looks like it actually had decent viewership in Japan: animenewsnetwork.com/news/2022-01-15/japanese-animation-tv-ranking-december-27-january-2/.181447 Last edited by chrisb on Sat Jan 15, 2022 7:16 pm; edited 1 time in total |

I must disagree with your opinion on the story friend. The series is fairly well paced. Every 4 episodes can be seen as an act of the story, and while some reveals or explanations aren't given immediately, they come up whe. Relevant, trying to fit Kippei and Kakeru not being blood related earlier would've been clunky and distracting. The only writing issue I had was the adult man who hit on high schoolers, and episode 5 felt much clunkier in terms of execution

I must say I almost totally disagree with the review of this series. I found it to be quite enjoyable and entertaining, sure-it has it's flaws and shortcomings. If (and when) they make a 2nd season I'll be back for more.
