Delta is ok and all but I really wish they'd move onto a new Macross series. Please let this movie be the end for Delta.

NOTE: There are two typos in the theatrical short film title (Gekjōban Tanpen Macross Frontier ~Toki no Meikyū). It should be Gekijō Tanpen Macross Frontier ~ Toki no Meikyū.

Delta didn't work for me too well; Frontier was much better thought out and Delta felt derivative at times. I'll be happy to see an original Macross story, even if it Delta, but I am hoping this closes the door on Delta and allows for a fresh Macross story (for example... Time to address the protoculture more directly, even a prequel with the supervision army).

I'm ready for a new TV series already. Or even some shorter, self-contained stories like Zero/Plus.
God I miss the sold age of OVAs. |

The last movie was a rushed mess, but that was honestly for the best. Better to start fresh with this movie and largely put the Windemerian stuff behind us, rather than be subjected to more of original Delta.
