Maybe this is just translation mixup to do with them developing the Zangetsu Mode for the game.

I hope there is a sequel someday. While the original was a great game, there were definitely aspects of it I would like to see readdressed.

Considering the great team they have assembled right now, I really do hope they have a proper sequel/successor in mind once they're done with patches for Bloodstained.
