Great to see Anime Saimoe Tournament starting up again for the year. I'm hoping I can get some voting codes so I can actually vote this year.
The article says it's the 10th anniversary, but I think it's only the 9th anniversary but 10th tournament since the first tournament was in 2002. |

Considering the diversity of the shows this past year, this could be an interesting Tournament.
I will be supporting Homura, btw. Now to figure out a way to be able to vote(Proxy bans are gonna be a factor again this year, it seems)...

Some of these nominees are just awful. Jennifer Satou @ C Hidemi Yomoda @ C Two C nominations and no Msyu? Sanko @ Fractale Who the hell was she? Why would you choose the least memorable character? Kuiaran @ Gosick Again... Who the hell is this? English teacher @ Highschool Of The Dead Did you just pick a character with no name? Mika Saeki @ K-On! Fuko Takahashi @ K-On! Azusa won last year. Did she suddenly become not moe enough to qualify? Spokesman @ Mobile Suit Gundam 00 WHAT?! Cheerleader club president @ Moshidora ... The female member of the Giant Squad @ One Piece I'm running out of things to say at this point. Gisela @ Puella Magi Madoka Magica Is this one of the witches? Why? It's not even Charlotte. How can this be the only Madoka nominee? Junko Yoshida @ Rainbow Did they seriously just pick a character from Rainbow? I assume the polls got trolled... I can only assume. |

This is only the first of 16 groups in the preliminary round. There are a LOT more characters than what you have listed. |

Saigar. It died a long time ago(Due to trolling).Besides, if you don't like how one Saimoe contest is run, there are two others run at about this time as well, so diversity can be a good thing.

I thought the term "moe" actually had some kind of meaning, but if people are nominating Gisela from Madoka, I guess being "moe" doesn't even imply femininity.
Darn it, then. I missed my chance to nominate Naruto's Sasuke, Daru from Stein's;Gate, and the fort from Ano Hi Mita Hana. |

For group one i cheer for yui from Angel Beats, and for group 2 I cheer for eucliwood from Kore wa Zombie, but where is Menma from ano hana, she's the only person i looked for, i guess they thought it woldnt be fair since she'd win hands down xD, also when are the final 16 announced, and where can i see them? Edit: "Girl seen asleep in class with eyes drawn on her eyelids @ Detective Opera Milky Holmes" LOL they really DO put every girl and female like character in this, except MENMA!!! |
