Gotta say the two guys not caring about Itadori's survival makes sense a lot since they kept for like how episodes and has no chemistry at all. On the other hand, the.actual death of the bullied teen worked a los better considering how powerless and ruined made Itadori in contrast to other shonen characters like Gon who get a.power up out of nowhere (and Kite didn't even.die)

I don't know exactly why, but something about the opening had me skeptical about Junpei's fate. Something about how the OP showed him felt completely incongruous with what was happening. By the time of his conversation with Mahito in the sewer, I started to wonder if they weren't using it to set up some sort of twist.

Just seeing that screenshot reminds me of how absolutely sublime of a moment Junpei's death was; the anime absolutely nailed it.

It's extra-great because in this post-Naruto age, plenty of people believed that Sukuna would always come in clutch for Yuuji but nope, he's a curse who only lives for suffering, and that's beautiful.

I feel like you're misinterpreting the chemistry, which they do indeed have. Kugisaki even teared up yet again upon seeing he was alive, and Fushiguro smiled (In the manga but the anime didn't show it.)

Wait what the hell are you talking about that literally never happened unless you mean the aged up transformation, which wasn't "out of nowhere" and the resolution to that sequence didn't exactly end well for him, perhaps not as immediately bad as yuji but still not a great outcome
