commdendable, in an age where games can barely last 11 months, reaching nearly 5 years is an achievemen, 3 years especially in America is commendable.

Some mobile games just do better. I think that all 3 of the ones I started playing back in 2015 are still going somehow. Those games are: Love Live! School Idol Festival Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] Final Fantasy Record Keeper (which seems to be still going strong?) Also, it didn't quite make 5 years. It was released in June 2015. Ending March 31 for Magicite sales worldwide is a quarter thing. This is so their earnings don't bleed into Q2 2020. Maybe SE is prepping players to abandon their mobile games to try to boost sales for FFVII Remake, which got delayed to April 10, 2020? |

Love Live grosses pretty bad overseas now, but still managed to be a money maker in Japan. Music games are more skill intensive than RPG/action games and thus more f2p friendly. But having better units doesn't shorten the grinding time. As a result, most people rather just spend on RPG/action where effects of spending money have a bigger effect. https://sensortower.com/android/publisher/klab/KLab https://sensortower.com/android/US/klab/app/love-live-school-idol-festival-music-rhythm-game/klb.android.lovelive_en/overview |
