At least they're not trying to save their closing school again. That was getting old fast, so a new angle where the idols are trying to make a name for themselves might be interesting. However, I'm cautiously optimistic about this. Love Live Sunshine annoyed me, so I was ready to jump off the Love Live ship, but if they're injecting new life into the franchise, I just might stick around for a bit. Will wait for more info.

I'm a LL fan but these designs look bland and uninspiring. The premise is nice and good thing it doesn't have that closing down the school thing again. Honestly, it doesn't feel like Love Live if the group doesn't have nine members. I hope the other four will be revealed

Yeah, the number does seem weird, but I could easily see them not wanting to reveal all of them right away. Then again, it's possible they won't have more so that it feels different from before. Part of the plot of Sunshine was them realizing they didn't need to copy what came before, so maybe the creators are following suit by doing things like not repeating the basic premise again. They went in a different direction in Sunshine, but a third time would be really pushing it.

They're all first years this time around so perhaps we get a season 2 where the 1st years become 2nd years and we get 4 more members to round it up to 9
