I've read everything up to the latest part in JNC last weekend and hoped for an adaptation, it didn't took long :p

The whole novel concept actually comes from the Roadside Picnic novel (or even more — the game series that loosely based on the book, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) though, except Zone being the different world.

Wow, didn’t see that one coming.
Only read the first volume, which was pretty light on the yuri, but the actual world was fascinating. Looking forward this.

Color me intrigued. I remember Frog-kun mentioning sci-fi yuri could become a force to be reckoned with in the light novel market so hopefully this gets a good adaptation that leads to bigger things.

It's actually way more sci-fi than yuri. One of those titles that sci-fi fans would like even if they're not into yuri. It's really fun.

I am still waiting for a Qualia The Purple (Murasakiiro no Qualia) anime adaption, the problem is that Madoka Magica stole a main part of the plot so an adaption would look like a Madoka clone (the LN of it comes from like 2009)

I remember this series. It was very creepy and dark sometimes.
But it wasn't very yuri as this article states it is.

I don't have any familiarity with the source material but I've been wanting more yaoi and yuri titles with fantasy or sci-fi settings, so I'm curious to check this one out.

I test read the LN a while back, and it was intriguing, but I'm not sure about the artstyle. The story has more of an uncanny feel and the character designs look a bit too happy and standard to fit into what I would imagine for that kind of story. Especially considering that the monsters of the other world are supposed to be very different and uncanny, not sure how such a 'normal' artstyle can manage to visualize that.
Still, this will for sure be a show to have an eye on when it airs.
