I hope one day he will be well enough to do ADR again, he did some good dubs. His casting choice for Night Raid 1931 was unexpected, but brilliant.

So glad to hear that he found a matching donor. All the best to him in his recovery.
(To everyone: make sure you're signed up as an organ donor!)

Yay! I'm glad to hear this, and I hope the rest of his journey will also go well and he'll get better sooner than later. <3

I had the pleasure of meeting Chris awhile back at anime Boston and he was awesome. Took the time to have a rather lengthy talk with me despite being told he needed to hurry to a signing. Gave me a good bit of advice for my at the time rather bad depression and it was a real stunner knowing someone I looked up to was so nice and was willing to put time aside for me.
It's super awesome to hear he is doing well and I hope it stays that way.

Glad for him and his family. His Freiza easily has to be one of the best performances I've ever heard in a dub.

This is wonderful news!
When it comes to dealing with the fans, Chis is a class act in this industry. At Anime Boston many yeas ago, he gave me a few minutes of his time to thank him and Greg for all the great memories they had given my wife, who'd recently passed away from cancer. He was genuine and never made me feel for a moment that I was any sort of bother.
Let's all hope Chris recovers and someday comes back to work!

It was Halloween day surgery and during the time he had been on the waiting list, his need went from requiring Heart and Lung surgery to only requiring Lung surgery.
Also even though he's been on Medical Leave, he was able to complete all of his dubbing for Dragon Ball Super .
Here's hoping Super can come back so our favorite tyrant of Universe 7 can also come back

Saw his brother Greg at a recent anime convention earlier this month shortly after the transplant. The family sounds very positive about the way things have turned out. Greg told a story about how while recording Dragon Ball Super Chris continued to do his role while in a wheelchair on oxygen. He would scream out a line, take a short break, scream out another line, take a short break. Over and over again until the session was over. Now THAT is dedication to your craft!
Sounds like Greg has had it pretty rough himself between trying to help take care of his brother, their father passing away, breaking up with his long time boy friend, and having to move back in with their mother. Voice acting isn't always as glamorous as it seems. At least he's managed to get himself sober through all this.

Even the dreaded COPD wasn't enough to bring down Frieza!
Best news I've heard all day! Congrats to Chris on getting his lungs. Congrats, sir. I wish him well on his recovery. Take all the time you need to heal, sir!

So glad he's able to get better! He's a total sweetheart from what I hear from many fans. Even in interviews from what I read.
