When I try the API I get results for manga, but no results for light novels.
e.g. cdn.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/api.xml?manga=19571 (light novel does not work) cdn.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/api.xml?manga=19572 (manga which works) I tried with several different combinations |

Light novels were not a significant issue when this encyclopedia was set up. You will note that unlike manga they do not have their own section. In most cases they are only listed as the source material of a listed anime or manga and that it is not consistent.
Light novels should have their own section, at least for any such novel that is the source for an anime/manga or is licensed in North America. However, that is one of a long list of changes needed to the encyclopedia and to the site in general. I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. |
