I assumed they sorted it out then given how much a splash it have made on social media; although after this incident I skipped the ending every single time because I just could not enjoy it as much as I wish to

I am happy that they now are working together. The Ending animation is so good looking and humorous. I am flat they do not need to replace it but can keep showing us these wonderful choreographies. This ending is one of just a few endings I cannot skip!

This is why IP laws need reform in a different direction. They're ridiculously stringent.

I might be stretching but the next time the rights holders of this show call-out when this show gets pirated, wouldn't that be a bit hypocritical?

I don't think the law is the real or even the only issue here, rather it's the "court of public opinion". Methinks the company is probably far more worried about a social media backlash than they are about a legal threat. people who care about social justice can ruin lives and bankrupt companies even when there is no law broken and only the merest suggestion of offense.

It's certainly hypocritical to some extent, but I think there's a significant difference between using someone else's dance moves without credit in your work vs. copying a complete work 100% verbatim.
