Hopefully this means we'll see a blu ray release soon after. It definitely deserves one, and Perfect Blue just got a blu ray upgrade not too long ago, so......fingers crossed.

It really is hard to believe it didn't have an American English dub before.

It's not so hard to believe if you realize Satoshi Kon preferred no foreign dubs to any of his works back when he was alive.

Yeah, especially considering that it actually received a dub for its UK release. I tracked down a copy of that, but I never checked it out to see if it was any good. It's fantastic to finally see Kon's works getting the domestic release love they deserve.

Why didn't he want them dubbed?

Just like how some people think it's weird to watch a foreign movie in a language track that the actors aren't really speaking, Satoshi Kon felt that animated foreign movies should be treated with the same respect, his especially--or so I remember reading somewhere.

Not hard to believe at all considering who released it here the first time since the same thing happened under that company to Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence.

interesting seeing Erin Yvette here. She came from the Bay Area talent pool that Telltale often used in their games and she appeared in many of them.
This Christian Swindler guy, though,I couldn't find anything about him.He doesn't even have an IMDB page!

I'll be honest here. I think it's long overdue. I think "Millennium Actress" should get the best dub possible and I'm glad it's finally happening. Like I said before, better late than never and I think this movie deserves an English dub.
