I agree with the reviewer for the most part. As for the art, it's definitely unpolished and fairly low quality but ironically it's sort of one of the series charming points since it's makes the faces the characters make even funnier, like an unexpected benefit brought about by a mistake, especially later on in the series.
The action is surprisingly easy to follow too in spite of the art.

I disagree with that art rating. I think that's what makes the series charm and even then It's pretty cool. Makes it standout.

This promising new dark action series has an anime coming out next season
Pretty sure there's still no announcement for the anime's airing date.

Why so soon? This screams anime original content and ending. Just give it a couple of years.

Quote: | In some ways it is easy to tell that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is Koyoharu Gotouge's first series. He's got all of the plot ideas and characters laid out, and those are all interesting and well put together. |
Just a quick heads up - Koyoharu Gotouge is a woman.

^Oops, that's my bad. I knew I should have stuck with a gender neutral.

Whoops, brainfart. I'll fix it.
Changed the gender signifier errors too.

Indeed, there's still no date, so it's more likely to be aired during 2019.
And no, this doesn't scream anime original content! There's a lot of material, like 120 manga chapters, and more until the first air time. 12 or 24 episodes, it probably won't even cover the 50 first chapters!

This is my favorite Shonen Jump title right now! To the point where I'm subscribed via the Jump+ app with iTunes cards so I can support and take the weekly surveys lol. I hope maybe one day we can get it added to the English magazine, or get a HeroAca/Haikyu style manga release speedup! Rebecca's totally right though, on lots of things--the pieces of kindness sprinkled throughout the volume for characterization is what really makes it stand out! That one scene where Tanjiro angrily forced the old lady to accept his money for weaving the straw basket was hilariously cute! I totally agree that she's a really talented creator trying to find her stride. I haven't enjoyed a new Shonen Jump series this much since Daisuke Ashihara's World Trigger and it's meticulously crafted universe and character relationships. Hopefully once the anime airs next year, more people will pick up on how great this comic is
edit: Also, there are still some clashing pronouns in the first paragraph, for whoever can look into fixing that

The mix of simple silly art and detail art and the natural transition between them is literally a feature. Hirohiko Araki talks about that kind of thing quite well in his manga theory book.
