I'm crossing my fingers that CR (or anyone) will simulcast this (and pick up the 4th season as library title), but with expectations of being disappointed. At least the increased competition for titles bumps up the likelihood slightly.

Personally I felt the franchise hit its peak with G and has been going downhill since. I hope this season can recover some of it's magic.

Funny you say that, because I always thought the first season despite not having the budget of the later season was still the tightest in terms of plot, character development, and villains. The following seasons all have had rough patches but were all still overall entertaining, but nowhere near as tight as S1 was. And while I say it had the tightest plot, the plot is still very VERY stupid. It's a fun dumb show, and I suppose I should expect that kind of brilliance in this upcoming season. I wonder if it really will be the last like the rumors said. |

The main issue is that they only planned for one season, and so in subsequent seasons they had to make up traumatic pasts for characters that had no hint of one before. I get why it's like that, but it's still pretty jarring.

The show looks like it was inspired by those old Iczer anime with those girls in those color coded armors and mentions of aliens and such. Just wondering, is it any good, or are only certain seasons good? If so, I may give it a watch.

There's a scene where they're trying to stop a spaceship from crashing into a mountain, so they blow up part of it and punch it away. It's that kind of over the top crazy.
