Shameless waifu bait!!! I'd buy this edition but I already finish the original. I don't think it's worth double-purchase, definitely worth it for first timers, though.

Shrug, that sounds a bit cynical imo. It's cool if you're not interested in it, but I know at least one Persona veteran that is. He's a friend that loves Persona and is very excited to play through this new version, with this new character. He's married and doesn't care about waifu stuff. He also beat P5 on the hardest difficulty and platinum'd the game. He just really loves the Persona series/franchise and is excited for any new content.

Already played through the vanilla version 5 times and not about too do it a 6th since you cant carry over anything from that saved data too this version.

Everything I see from this game makes it look better and better. And yes, I have the original. I don't mind buying it again when it's an expanded version with more content.

Kasumi looks like an interesting character but I'd need subtitles to really get a handle on her personality from these snippets.
Honestly what I really want from this new game is to really flesh out Akechi and I hope that Kasumi is closely intertwined with his character/story.
I felt like his storyline was pretty shallow and Atlus should have put more effort into writing his perspective in order for Joker and by extension the player to conflicted on choosing his side or continue doing their thing.
Kinda like the ending (but maybe a bit more believable)

Considering he was likely involved in the death of Futaba's mother on top of all the other death's he caused (one of which lead to erosion of the Phantom Thieve's reputation, choosing his side would've been really difficult even if they had done all that.

I mean the Persona series is the elemental incarnation of waifu bait.
Hey, I don't mean that as a bad thing! I freakin' love Persona, and 5 was my favorite of all. I'll be buying the remaster for sure, and I look forward to the prospect of new characters...even if Makoto is and will forever remain best girl.
Not everyone who is into Persona is into it for the dating sim aspect, and it's not the main reason I'm such a huge fan (he said unconvincingly), but it absolutely is a big aspect of the game that the designers spent a lot of care on. It wouldn't be as big as it is if everything else weren't also amazing, of course.

It was a nice little character trailer. Another chance to gain some insights on what makes Kasumi tick as a character and now plenty more to speculate on based on her persona.
I enjoyed Persona 5 quite a bit. And I'm looking forward to getting Royal next year to see how this version turns out. Looks good thus far.

Fire Emblem, but continue.

Kawakami, but keep going.

In its defense Fire emblem wasn't always Waifu bait!
Just somewhere down the line, some idiots decided that having fanservice and sexy character designs were more important than story or gameplay ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I want to hope that the one on the switch will be different... but I haven't watch any of the trailers or announcements except for the very first one because I'm so confident it'll be great *cough* also so that I don't get my hopes up *cough*

The fire emblem games have had different types of fanservice for years.
Marrying for example has been in the games since Genealogy of The Holy War. As for Sexy character designs everybody has their kink which is part of the reason Ike and Hector are popular not simply because they're badasses.
Story and gameplay is also something that hasn't been consistently good in the games....which is how you get cool shit like healing staves missing in Thracia 776
