I'm glad japanese people have a habit not to forget about the more minor, older franchises.
I still remember how addictive the Gameboy Medabots game was. It reminds me of the simpler times too, when I was a kid.

I did not know Metabots was still around, but then I do not live in Japan. It's been so long since I have last heard of this franchise. I remember watching the anime long time ago as a child.

I still remember the anime. It was one of my favourite shows growing up.

I never played the games but I loved the anime a lot as a kid. It was one of my favorite Saturday morning anime a long with Digimon, Pokemon, and Yugioh. The English dub was pretty good and was always very funny and I was always surprised at how much Japanese culture elements was actually kept in tact in the Medabots dub. The voice acting was also pretty good for the dub. I would definitely love it if a new Medabots anime was made.

Quote: | The franchise will launch the "Shūkan Medarot Tsūshin" (Weekly Medabots News) project for the franchise's 20th anniversary, beginning in late December. The project will include a new Medabots manga series by Hakubayashi titled Medarot Sai ~Reloaded~, as well as a short manga by Rin Horuma tentatively titled "Medarot Short," both of which will launch on the Manga Hotto app in late December. |
This launched last December. Reloaded is more than 40 chapters in.
