I'm glad japanese people have a habit not to forget about the more minor, older franchises.
I still remember how addictive the Gameboy Medabots game was. It reminds me of the simpler times too, when I was a kid.

I did not know Metabots was still around, but then I do not live in Japan. It's been so long since I have last heard of this franchise. I remember watching the anime long time ago as a child.

I really liked this, however I only ever caught a few episodes. So i can not rememberer much about it.

I never played the games but I loved the anime a lot as a kid. It was one of my favorite Saturday morning anime a long with Digimon, Pokemon, and Yugioh. The English dub was pretty good and was always very funny and I was always surprised at how much Japanese culture elements was actually kept in tact in the Medabots dub. The voice acting was also pretty good for the dub. I would definitely love it if a new Medabots anime was made.

The franchise will launch the "Shūkan Medarot Tsūshin" (Weekly Medabots News) project for the franchise's 20th anniversary, beginning in late December. The project will include a new Medabots manga series by Hakubayashi titled Medarot Sai ~Reloaded~, as well as a short manga by Rin Horuma tentatively titled "Medarot Short," both of which will launch on the Manga Hotto app in late December.


This launched last December. Reloaded is more than 40 chapters in.
