Well, this looks like it's going to be tons of fun. I thought this was already slated for Spring but apparently is not confirmed yet... let's hope we get some info about aring date soon.

It already wins the award for the most out there Sherlock adaption from the promotion materials alone which is a good thing as BBC's Sherlock and Elementary have very much dried out the well of "Sherlock Holmes but modern" so it need something else unique about it. And that it most certainly does...

As someone who is British and adores the BBC version of Sherlock I'm somewhat skeptical...

This so far looks exactly as expected for a modern anime reimagining... once I looked at Morriarty's design (and then Mary's and so on). I won't even try to compare it with Elementary or BBC's Sherlock. Seems like it'll be pretty much within the anime universe and tropes. Regardless, if it's well executed and fun I'll watch.

Why the heck does Sherlock Holmes remind me of Munehisa Iwai from Persona 5?

Nakamura Yuuichi, Katsuyuki Konishi, and a cast and story that seems fun, that's enough to get me on board. Looking forward to this one.

I'm pretty sure this is not trying to be anything like BBC's Sherlock or any other modern adaptation, anyway... It's even set in Japan, apparently.

This show gives me a Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens vibe so I'm really looking forward to it.

Oh thank goodness, it's been ten whole minutes since the last pop culture re-imagining of Sherlock Holmes, I was getting worried.
Seriously, I'm sure the show will be fine but I'm getting really bored with these endless Holmes reboots.

The only Sherlock Holmes I've consumed, is the original novels. SO i do not even know what to expect from a modern day Japanese adaptation of a Victorian detective series.
