Next time, use IRC. Seriously though, how the hell did this guy get busted for piracy? Is Japan that much stricter regarding that kind of stuff?

You can read more about information about Japan's copyright policy: http://www.cric.or.jp/english/clj/cl7.html Japan can be very stricter on regarding towards piracy, espacially that i also do watching illegal streaming websites. An Japan Times articles posted an opinios about Japanese government attempt to crack down the piracy: https://www.japantimes.co.jp/opinion/2018/10/21/editorials/explore-new-ways-crack-internet-piracy/ |

You're kidding right? It's a decentralized file sharing program, there's no one 'place' to shut down. |

Although many people claim that the Playstation won the console war of the late 1990s, evidence such as this counts against the notion. Rare really were a jewel in Nintendo's crown... |

Anti-piracy is still going strong as per usual in Japan's lineup

I know that. The thing is that Perfect Dark is basically history in Japan, as less people is still using it. I lurked the P2P weeks ago and everything it has is something that you can find much more easily on BitTorrent. Plus, many Japanese people are resorting to BitTorrent to download warez. Ironically, BT is much easier to police and it's not surprise that ISPs are actively cooperating with the copyright police to send C&D orders to massive downloaders. DISCLAIMER: No, I'm not advocating piracy and make apology of it. I'm only writing my thoughts about that. |

You know, I seriously thought that "Perfect Dark software" referred to the Nintendo 64 game, as I had never heard of whatever this guy was using. I thought someone had found a way to use that game to make their own hacks, one of which was pirating manga...which would be quite weird and a real feat of programming.
One Piece is among the most pirated franchises, which I've always found amusingly fitting. |

this is some orwellian stuff. Upload a manga, FBI shows up at your door, throws you in jail.
