Liz and the Blue Bird was definitely good, but why they didn't make the third season? Honestly, it's looks like stretching a franchise because of its popularity.

I have to question the same thing; why not make a S3? The premise sounds like there's a lot more involved for a feature film especially with new characters getting introduced with their baggage plus new problems with the band. I'm almost afraid things will get rushed.

While I had zero interest in Liz and the Blue Bird, I am very much looking forward to Oath's Finale. I hope someone licenses it for a R1 BD release.

And while I agree that a third season of Sound! Euphonium instead of this movie could be nice, the thought of Ponycan USA handling it scares me. PCUSA could also handle the Oath's Finale movie, but I am somehow less scared of that.

While I also would have quite liked a third season, I personally have faith that Kyoto Animation know what they’re doing with this movie and it sounds to me that Kyoto Animation may simply want to animate the next part(s) of this story in movie form in order to possibly leave some room in their schedule for other projects. I just hope that when this gets licensed, it’ll be less of a hassle and wait to be released this time around.
