Same same here and I wanted to catch that ustream event but was time zone challenged and had it marked down for tonight...dang it!
Angela was to perform 3 songs from Fafner during the event and they were showing the movie too.... oh well news of a sequal is great and more angela songs is equally good news.

Hmm, what else is there to be told? Maybe because I haven't seen the movie yet I'm missing the possibilities?

I hope the dialogues in the sequel will be better than in part 1. I was seriously struggling to get through some episodes because of awful dialogues- I love the story, but I am not impressed by the fact that some characters seem to be saying the same sentence over and over. Some of the them are also quite young, and speak as if they were 90 years old.
So fingers crossed the sequel will be better in that respect- and I will be happy enough!

I actually watched this because of Angela. Slow start but overall I enjoyed it. Be sure and watch the prequel, Right of Left, after you finish season 1. Really well done.

I'm surprised XEBEC didn't decide on a sequel or reboot to Martian Successor Nadesico instead, given how popular that show still is.

VERY thankfully, he's not in this series.
And wow, I nearly died of rapture when I heard the news on Saturday. I can't believe it... after they made us wait six years for a sequel we thought would never happen, now they're giving us a sequel to the sequel? Life just couldn't get any better (especially after zooming WAAAAAY in to look at that beautiful new BD cover. Now THAT truly looks like "Heaven and Earth." Nice~)
So excited for the new movie!!! This time, I'm going to Japan to see it for sure!
