Yikes that's absolutely creepy. Glad she's safe. Although the experience will unfortunately haunt her for quite some time...

This is one excuse I don't believe, he just wanted to spy on his idol, but he should learn that idols need space and privacy and a short stay in jail should be enough for him to think about it and not spy on anymore idols.

Don't have even a friend or relative? Well, that's certainly your own f-ing fault! And to treat the person he stalked as if she's a friend as well, I'm glad this guy was arrested.

LMAO at that excuse.
Seriously, why would you go to her? She messes with cicada shells. That's a turn off to me.

A definite Red Alert. I hope Shokotan's security keeps an eye out for this guy from now on, two times is two times too many.

One common factor I have noticed about these celebrity stalking and pirated manga stories on ANN is that they often involve unemployed people. How different would this story have been if the man was employed?

Gross. I hope that the man's arrest brings her at least some comfort.

That's more a quirk of Japanese media reporting. Whenever they report on a crime or arrest they almost always include the occupation of the person being arrested, like "salaryman/office worker" or, what seems to be so common it's even become cliche, "unemployed".
ANN is just translating the Japan-side reporting style here for better or worse.

Considering the last stalking I've heard on anime news, he's lucky she didn't take out an ancesteral katana and cut him apart. Throwing shuriken: Genius way to take out home intruders and most impressionable. Take it up to the next level!
