Great to see Starlight jumping up the weekly rankings, I'm really loving it so far, and I hope it continues to be as good as it is so it can compete with Sora Yori as my AOTY.

Huge congrats to Attack on titan being number 1. I really love the season 3 so much ,especially, the story about politics. Looking forward to the next episode.
Also, congrats to the other anime that's in the top ten.

Nice to see Revue Starlight doing well, both in the weekly but also in the cumulative. It's been one of my favorite shows this season and is in the running with Attack on Titan for my anime of the season. Hopefully this could get it some more recognition.
This cours of MHA looks to be the weakest so far (ranking wise) comparing it to the previous seasons. While the show didn't quite become the phenomenon it is until the second season, the first season actually ranked pretty well, ranging between 1st and 13th, and if you exclude the two lowest episodes, it was between 1st and 7th, and ended up 6th in the cumulative. For the second season's first cours, aside from the first episode (which was a recap) and the last episode of the cours (which was a bit of transitional episode), it was between 1st and 8th, and ended up 6th in the cumulative. In the second cours, aside from the Froppy filler episode, MHA was again between 1st and 8th, and ended at 5th in the cumulative. Aside from the first episode (again a recap), the third season was between 1st and 9th and ended at 5th in the cumulative. The first cours had had its first chart topping episode by this time in the season (the Muscular fight), and had reached 8th in the cumulative, despite starting at 25th. This cours? Between 13th and 17th in the weekly and 12th in the cumulative. I don't think this cours has been a bad arc (unlike say the recently concluded Cho Cho arc in Boruto), but I think the comparison to the first cours is really telling. The episodes have been very good in my opinion, but none have been really stand out, like the aforementioned Muscular fight or the climax of the Stain arc, which had also already happened at this point in the season. I trust that MHA can deliver at that level, and will likely do so again by the end of the season, but if it hasn't done as well in the rankings, I think it is because it hasn't quite done so yet this cours.

Wow, Angels of Death hit the top 10 in the weeklies! Nice to see people catching on to its weird charm. It's been on a straight line upward for the last two weeks, and yet it can't budge from dead last in the cumulative. As usual, I don't understand this, but I've given up trying.

Those first four episodes are holding it back (27th, 25th, 26th, 26th). Looking at the next three above it, we have Black Clover (16th, 27th, 21st, 21st, 23rd, 18th), Holmes of Kyoto (20th, 24th, 24th, 11th, 23rd), and Grand Blue Dreaming (23rd, 20th, 22nd, 22nd, 24th), even with that 18th and 9th in the weeklies, that isn't enough to edge over one of them. If Angels of Death can keep at that level, or even just settle into the upper teens, I think it will overtake a few of those, but it's not there yet.

This season sure has been strange. It's as if almost all the shows (except AoT ) checks in on a steady 3-4, making all of them bounce around like crazy from week to week.
You even have Buroto going from nr. 1 to dead last in 2 weeks.

Sadly Free's clunky plot this season is dragging it down. It could have been an amazing season focusing on Haru's future. But instead they chose to rehash old drama with characters not many people care about. Season 1 did it a lot better. Season 2 was kind of meandering, but it pulled it together in the last few episodes. I wonder is season 3 will manage to do the same?
You have to admit, a college student (Ikuya) moping for years about a broken pinky promise in middle school is kind of silly. At least in s1, the drama was centered around second year high schoolers. Rin's reason for being upset - that he hit a wall and it was affecting his life long dream of becoming an Olympic swimmer - was more believable too. It doesn't help that Ikuya's friend Hiyori is just a plot device meant to be a road block to the 5 minute conversation that would resolve Ikuya's issue.
I LOVE Free, but this season has been nothing but a bore to watch.

That has more to do with the content of that show than the rest of the season. You had Boruto’s best episode, in terms of both production and story, followed almost immediately by the show’s worst arc. When you go from 4.7 (65) to 3.3 (67) and 2.8 (68), your ranking is going to drop no matter what else is going on around it.

Looks like since the beach volleyball tournament started, Harukana Receive's started to go up in ratings again, no surprise, as episode 6 was the best yet, I think it's been the best new anime of the season from what I've seen so far, Chio's School Road is good but it's been hit and miss with me.

How the hell is Grand Blue so far down? Meanwhile Angel of Death is so high up.

Dunno about Grand Blue, but Angels of Death keeps getting better, and apparently people are finding that out.

Aw man that drop for Planet With. Didn't really find episode 5 to be any worse than the previous ones - nor the week in general to be stronger than normal - so I guess this is just my tastes not aligning with anyone else's again. Same case with Persona - 19 was to me one of the most boring episodes and it goes up
I can't complain too much, Asobi and Chio's School Road look like a freaking roller coaster there.
