I kept searching for the right Mario and Peach to add to my plush collection
(I already have Boo, Luigi, Daisy, Yoshi, and Bowser Jr), but could never find ones that didn't look smushed. Looks like my search is over. And Oooo, pre-order discount too. :b |

Aw, no Bowser plush to appease the weirder shippers out there? (Personally, it's not quite the same without that bouquet of Piranha Plants, for that matter.)
Those are basically my struggles finding good quality Sonic plushes. |

If only this had been the official royal wedding. As a figurehead, Mario has done far more to earn the public's favour than any monarch in waiting.

Well, there's Blumiere and Timpani. There's also Booster and Valentina. For the most part, though, I think Miyamoto wants to keep it a "No Hugging, No Kissing" franchise. Nothing wrong with that, if you ask me. |

But if Mario was in a relationship with someone...where would the games go from there? Part of the idea behind Mario is that he never has any permanent traveling companions (not even Luigi). They come and go with the games. Mario is free to go wherever he pleases, and you enjoy his journeys with him. It'd be like if Sonic was officially paired up with someone--it'd tie them down.
(There's also the fact that Miyamoto considers the Mario characters as actors, so to speak, meaning nothing really sticks anyway.) |

Yeah aside from the conundrum of how Bowser Jr. who is Bowser's (only) biological son came into existence without a mother.
Wasn't Sonic & Sally going out for years in the Archie Comics even as they were still going on Adventures? |
