This type of behavior is where I see free speech ends. I do hope a lawsuit and jail time follow through soon.

Extremely creepy. Hate to see events possibly canceled because of this.

wow. putting aside the total creep factor, this pisses me off because takada is one of the few voice actors i follow on twitter and she's always in such a happy-go-lucky mood. she really doesn't deserve this

You cannot be put into jail for what he did. He took a picture of an empty toilet seat. That is not a crime.

At a minimum, the owner of the facility where the event was held, could ban the individual forever from entering the premises. But it would be a fairly toothless action.

At a maximum, the voice actress could sue the individual for making a false statement, since he was not in the restroom when she used it, and would have had to just guess which stall she used. (That is even if she actually used a stall, and wasn't just in there to freshen up.) But it probably wouldn't be a cost effective action.

There are creepy people all over the world and even in our back yard. The idea that only good and upstanding people attend any type of event, whether it is anime, idol, or sporting event is foolhardy. Crappy people and evil people attend such events also. Are we going to stop sporting events because of the actions of hooligans.

Making a big deal out of this was a mistake.

Anyone could randomly post a picture of a toilet seat and claim it was one some celebrity just used...
Maybe this guy actually did this but the right course of action is to completely ignore it. All this is doing is encouraging more copycats because the only purpose this person had was to draw attention to themselves in the first place.

This isn't criminal behavior, it's just in bad taste. And bad taste should be judged by the masses and appropriately ignored.

For starters I see you're back to your old habits of not reading articles and commenting. What exactly does this even have to do with free speech? This is about a guy who took a photo of an empty toilet seat. Secondly, you want this guy to go to jail over taking a photo of an empty toilet seat? There is no doubt that yes this was creepy and lives up to the Otaku stereotype. Should he be banned from such events as an extreme measure? Perhaps. However, claiming this is where free speech should end and that someone should be locked away and sued over taking a photo of an empty toilet is beyond ridiculous.
