These are super cute, but I'm still not sure what to think of Victor and Pompompurin's butt stars...

Ahh. This Sanrio collaboration was one of the best things to happen to Yuri!!! on Ice.

Of course Yurio would get paired with Hello Kitty. These Sanrio YOI figures are incredibly adorable.

I kind of disagree. Sure it's good in the sense that it must be super lucrative, and I'm glad YOI keeps making bucketloads of money so long after it aired, but honestly I'm tired of it. Over half the merchandise that has come out in the last six months have been only this collab, and it's gotten boring at this point. Because it is Sanrio, the art is super sanitized, so we don't have beautiful new official art with the characters actually being themselves in different settings (see the Saga on Ice collab) , but just an avalanche of cutesy chibified stuff with not a lot of variety to the designs either and very occassional stiff renderings of the characters in their usual appearance but that never interact with each other.

Great, now I can't help but stare at Victor's ass....again.

I wish there were more collaborations with figure skaters like a plushie set where the YOI characters cosplay famous world figure skaters like Phichit wearing a Javier Fernández Free Skate outfit.

I am not a fan of Hello Kitty, so this collab wasn't going to appeal to me much anyways, but I agree with this. And the fanart has been filled with this as well. Some art has been cute, but I'm mostly blah at this point. On the one hand, glad to see YOI making more money and fandom being happy, but on the other I'm looking forward to this dying down.
