If the new Saber's not Julie d'Aubigny, I'm not interested.

Ohhh, great guess! This Saber's mask looks Opera-inspired, too, so it's a good fit.

The saber looks like has oriental motifs, so a lot of people have already suspected that he might be Gao Changgong, which legend said that he looks beautiful that he donned a mask to appear intimidating.

I'm getting some definite Zorro vibes from the new Saber.

Highly unlikely. Look at his sword. Seems Chinese inspired.

Just googled her and wowza, what a full life. This is why all the genderbending in Fate annoys me. There are tons of awesome historical and mythological women to pull Servants from without resorting to using dudes.

I don't disagree that there are plenty of legitimate female servant candidates, but the fact that you had to google her itself is the problem. It is an issue of fame. While Julie d'Aubigny may be on the same level of renown as some of the more minor servants that have been added to fate, she isn't really that well known. They're going to focus more on names people might recognize from somewhere even if people aren't likely to know a whole lot about them. This leads to a bunch of the actually female servants being related to some mythology, Fate originals, or ones like Marie Antoinette and Anastasia who are famous despite having no legitimate accomplishments.

I think a mixture of the two is far more likely. Think about it this way: @Seif bothered to google because of an association with the game. I think the difference lies more in the way we consume information rather than aptitude. I confess I did not know who she was either, but I'll remember something meatier like Julie d'Aubigny instead of something bite-size like Anastasia. Bite-size is quicker and maybe easier, but meaty is filling and far more satisfying, etc. Practicality does not guarantee one better than the other either, depending on the situation.

There is no association with the game. He just looked her up because Shay said they wanted her in the game.

I agree that someone playing the game might see some servant and want to know more about them. However, FGO kind of relies on getting people to want the servants they don't have yet. There are some servants in there that would probably fly under most people's radar, but most of them are either pretty famous themselves or from / related to someone / something pretty famous.
