For all the talk and hype and the fact the manga is fairly popular, Kakegurui isn't doing so well...
Still sad Cheer Fruits is down in the dumps...

Once it premieres on Netflix (freakin' next year, bah!), I hope there will be a huge number of views that'll make them consider doing a S2.

I'm not sure you understand how it works. Netflix already paid a licensing fee and the studio won't get more money, even if millions watch it. In addition, it was pretty poorly received, and had an anime original ending, so s2 isn't that likely.

So the DTV Batman and Harley Quinn movie actually sells more copies than the SAO movie.

Are you sure that’s how it works? CrunchyRoll has said numerous times that they pay 50% of their revenue back to the source on a per-video basis. I know CR and Netflix aren’t the same thing but I’d be surprised if their business is not similar.

It's probably how it works, but as far as I'm aware, no, that's never been confirmed. And yes, we do know that other sites, like CR, pay royalties. The way Netflix operates is almost certainly different, but I wouldn't say that how the show does there is irrelevant, that's for sure. It's always going to be quite important, regardless of whether or not Netflix is directly paying money based on viewership.

This week was a bad week for nearly all anime shows, particularly Cheer Fruits.
Edit: Alright! 6600 posts!

Obviously this week it's selling more copies than it.
