"The magazine teased that it will also feature one-shots by other famed manga creators"
I hope Ikeda Akihisa is one of them. He's been on hiatus for quite some time.Rosario+Vampire ended in 2014 and his One-Shot collaboration with NisiOisin was in November 2014.Even if he was one of them i know it's just a One-Shot,but hey that One-Shot could lead to serialization.I'm sure i'm not the only one who wants to see Ikeda return. His art style was insane near the end of Rosario+Vampire.I hope he hasn't gotten rusty.

Let's hope that this signals a new series by Kubo. As bad as Bleach got it still had some really good moments.

Its been forever since I heard any word about him since Rosario Vampire ended three years ago. I hope he comes back. But then again the manga industry can be pretty stressful.

I would like Kishimoto wrote something new (I think it was some sort of detective story what he wanted) considering he hasn't done much ever since the Mitsuki spinoff

Good to see Kubo there; clearly he hasn’t lost ALL faith in WSJ.

You’re probably thinking of the mafia manga Mario that he wrote; it actually got published in Jump Square in 2012, so at least there’s that. If Kishimoto does write one, I’m hoping for either a one-shot version of the sci-fi manga he said would be his next ongoing, or the fantasy one-shot Magic Mushroom that he almost wrote before he created Naruto.

^ He's a good artist and makes some good characters, but when it comes to creating a proper story... I really thought that the Soul Society Arc (Rescue Rukia) was him at his best.
Maybe have someone co-write with him while he focuses on the artwork.

I doubt he would ever agree to that. From what I've seen, read, and heard, he's the kind of guy that likes to have full control of what he makes.

Surprised Kubo is taking another crack at manga especially after him stating he disliked working on it. Let's hope the internet doesn't implode on it this time.

It's been more than three years since Rosario+Vampire ended. In just 5 months it's going to be it's 4th anniversary. If Ikeda is one those who are making One-Shots in 2018,i wonder what the One-Shot will be about?

I guess debunks the whole "Kubo has gone rouge" statement (even though the guy did an interview with shueisha some time after after Bleach ended)

To be completely honest, as much as I'm looking forward to Kubo's one-shot, I'd rather he go to work as a fashion designer. He's so unbelievably good at it.

Kubo likes working by himself, but I wonder if anyone can twist his arm into collaborating with Ryohgo Narita on more than just BLEACH sidestories.
