Is this the part where we start shrieking like lunatics and say that Sunrise is dead much like metal gear fans did when a metal gear pachinko was announced?

That's is all down to ignorance. Aside from Yakuza fans, mnost people only learnt about pachinko from when Konami stopped making games and focused on pachinko. Pchinko has been around for years, and even Anime and video game themed pachinko has been around for sometime. But because of Konami people have warped ideas about it.
