If only to watch with utter fascination Alex Trebek discussing anime and manga as a question subject matter, that would be the only reason for me to watch.

Yeah, that was quite mainstream-focused...except for Lone Wolf and Cub, maybe. Surprised they didn't throw in one about Naruto or My Hero Academia.

Geez, has Jeopardy really gotten this easy in recent years? They practically gave them half the answer in the descriptions.

Well we are talking about mainstream contestants on a mainstream TV series, so it's reasonable to expect most of the answers to be titles that a lot of people would have at least heard of in passing even if they aren't serious fans. Even then, the guy on the right apparently knew nothing about the category at all, since it didn't look like he was even trying to buzz in on any of them.

WIsh the high value question had been something more recent stuff, than the usual even when they do anime almost always miyazaki or the movie about the moving castle or the girl turning into some animal.

I wonder if the person had said shingeki would they still have got the one question correct.

Also I didn't remember any of these three contestants from the regular season, my two favorites were earlier this week

Actual question from 1987 (paraphrased): This rocker and her holograms are fighting Barbie in a battle of the bands.

If you are knowledgeable about a certain subject, Jeopardy can sometimes seem like a too easy breeze. It's one of the mainstreamiest shows out there, and manga is still not; Even comics categories refer to stuff that anyone has heard of.

But it's always been like that. And it's still fun. Very Happy

To put the shoe on the other foot, could you name romance authors from any era and subgenre?

Aside from the lone wolf answer, the rest were brain dead easy.

I was most impressed that they all said "manga" correctly, and not MAN ga.

A few weeks prior, a question on Spirited Away went unanswered (although one person guessed "What is Howl's Moving Castle?" which was a better wrong guess than I ever would've hoped)

Of course, you say this category was easy; try the other 11 categories and see if you're up to tournament-caliber play.

The use of Attack on Titan and Speed Racer was very fitting, seeing how Funimation (which licenses both shows) is now part of Sony.
